The Hartmann House Library has continued to grow throughout 2019 despite the harsh economic environment we face. Hundreds of new books, including the very latest, have been added throughout the year for all the students from Grade 0 to Grade 7.
All the classes attend Library every week, where they have a book from a well known, and age appropriate author, read to them by the Librarian. This ties in with topics they may be working on in the class and is a valuable informal, learning and discussion time for the students.
Displays of common interest (World Cup Rugby, Recycling, Science Projects etc) attract many boys to the Library, and there are 9 computers available for supervised research.
The Library has an Annual Book Day, as well as getting speakers in, for example, Lawyers, Environmentalists, Authors and Sportsmen in to address and motivate the students.
